Residential Damage Inspections – Get a Professional Engineer

Persons conducting a structural damage diagnosis of your home should be a Professional Engineer or a Registered Architect, and should have professional designation such as the letters P.E. after their name. Last week, Schnitzhofer & Associates, LLC saved a single unsuspecting home owner $19,500, by discrediting the need for proposed repairs by unqualified personnel. In 2011, we saved another homeowner over $13,000 when they asked us for a second opinion. In both cases, unlicensed personnel offered the repair diagnosis and proposed an improper solution that were not reviewed by a qualified engineer. There are many qualified PE’s across Virginia, which can be found on the DPOR website, so please share this message with your friends, parents, and grandparents.
